Job Description

The Manager of Nursing Operations is responsible for the autonomous management of designated departments in the Adult Medical Surgical and Pediatric Unit. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, defining workflows, resource allocation, budget development and performance monitoring, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, staffing, and budgeting.
• Provide guidance and supervision to nursing teams.
• Recommend departmental goals and monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
• Handle escalations and coordinate patient care based on age-specific needs.

Additional Responsibilities

• Utilize business expertise in budgeting and change management.
• Analyze data for decision making.
• Solve complex operational and customer relation issues.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and team members.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree in nursing, with master's degree preferred (or enrolled in a master’s program), three years of nursing or healthcare experience, BLS certification, current clinical license, and Magnet recognized specialty certification.

Preferred: Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience.
