Senior Patient Access Services Representative
Northwell Health is seeking a dedicated Senior Patient Access Services Representative to join their team. This role involves a variety of critical registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and billing duties to ensure smooth patient access to medical services. You will be responsible for completing complex tasks and may assist in training other representatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform admissions, registration, and scheduling activities.
- Gather and enter essential demographic and insurance information into the computer system, including for Medicare/Medicaid patients.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and other related data.
- Obtain necessary patient insurance authorizations for services, documenting approvals and denials.
- Conduct financial screenings for self-pay patients, assessing payment methods.
- Inform and counsel patients/representatives about available financial assistance options.
- Collect patient payments due at the time of service.
- Perform billing, receivable, and related functions; follow up on open self-pay accounts for collection.
- Assist and train new employees as directed by supervisors.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Remote position.
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 10 AM - 6 PM and every Saturday and Sunday + all holidays 8 AM - 4 PM.
