Job Overview
The Registered Nurse - ICU ER Tele Med Surg plans and delivers patient care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role collaborates with physicians and healthcare team members to implement procedures and treatments and uses clinical judgment for directing patient care in a dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct patient interviews, assess physical and psychosocial health, and document findings.
- Develop individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and manage pain.
- Administer medications safely, perform treatments, and ensure use of proper documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, delegate tasks, and ensure timely care.
- Monitor patient outcomes, perform variance analyses, and participate in discharge planning.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred, and enrollment in an accredited BSN program within two years is required. Must hold a current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State with any specialized certifications as needed.
