IT Project and Portfolio Manager

Role Overview

At Northrop Grumman UK, the IT Project and Portfolio Manager drives innovation and delivers IT projects across the EMEA region. This role supports the IT leadership team by managing a varied portfolio comprising infrastructure, SaaS, and custom-built solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full EMEA IT project portfolio ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
• Manage key IT projects and support the wider delivery team
• Implement and mature project management disciplines
• Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and financial reporting
• Provide accurate portfolio reporting to senior leaders and stakeholders
• Build strong relationships across technical teams and business units

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in leading full lifecycle IT projects
• Strong knowledge of frameworks: PMI, APM, Prince2, MSP or ITIL
• Excellent communication skills for non-technical audiences
• Experience managing diverse or matrixed teams
• Strong judgment and risk management skills
• Experience in coaching and developing teams

Preferred Experience

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, development or production environments
• Consulting or customer-facing project delivery experience
• Adept at making organization-wide recommendations

Additional Information

This position requires UK citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a SC clearance. Travel is required 25% of the time. Hybrid working is available with locations in London, Cheltenham, or New Malden.
