We are looking for a dynamic Global Communications Intern with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a keen sense for what makes compelling news. As a Global Communications Intern, you will be responsible for juggling multiple projects simultaneously, and your responsibilities will be quite diverse across earned media, internal communications, social and digital media activities. This position will be based in our Toronto Head Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies to support organizational goals.
  • Help manage internal and external content calendars, ensuring timely and consistent messaging.
  • Draft and edit engaging content for multiple audiences, including employees, media, and industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor media and social channels daily and compile summary reports for the communications team and senior leaders.
  • Support the preparation of media materials and briefing notes for interviews or announcements.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating logistics for events and conferences.
  • Collaborate with creative and digital teams on brand communications projects and social media content.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently (in the last 1-2 years) completed a degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and copy-editing skills with the ability to tailor messages to various platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and social PR, marketing and communications tactics and strategies.
  • Experience in social media management and content creation an asset but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office or similar platforms.
