About The Early Childhood Coordinator Role at Northcott

Northcott is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Coordinator for a full-time temporary position, offered on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027. In this impactful role, you will significantly contribute to shaping the future of children by supporting the delivery of the NDIS early childhood approach within local communities. You will partner directly with families to empower children to achieve their full potential through tailored planning and support. This position fosters strong community connections and aims to achieve positive outcomes for children aged 0-9 with developmental delays and/or disabilities.

You will thrive within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals and enjoy a flexible work arrangement that spans office, community, and home settings. The role involves navigating complex family dynamics with empathy, interpreting developmental assessments to guide effective support, and facilitating access to crucial early childhood supports through the NDIA. Key Responsibilities

  • Support families using a child and family-centred approach, ensuring interventions are evidence-based.
  • Utilise qualifications in Early Childhood, Allied Health, Social Work, or a related field for decision-making.
  • Conduct functional assessments for children with developmental concerns or disabilities to determine needs and facilitate timely referrals.
  • Connect families to community services and mainstream programs to enhance social participation.
  • Guide families through NDIS plan reassessments, assist with goal development, and ensure appropriate support.
  • Maximise NDIS plans to improve choice, control, social participation, and quality of life for children and families.
