About the Role: Technical Program Manager IV
North Star Staffing is seeking a highly experienced Technical Program Manager IV to lead and optimize a portfolio of data science initiatives. This pivotal role operates at the intersection of analytics, strategic planning, and program management, ensuring that data-driven projects are closely aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable impact.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical fluency in analytics and modeling, combined with the essential leadership skills required to effectively manage cross-functional stakeholders and executive priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Oversight & Strategic Alignment: Drive execution and visibility across operational and transformative data science initiatives. Partner with senior leadership to define long-term strategy, priorities, and focus areas. Align technical roadmaps with organizational OKRs and business objectives. Develop executive-ready reporting on milestones, KPIs, and success metrics.
- Project Intake & Resource Management: Design and streamline project intake frameworks. Balance resources efficiently across multiple teams and initiatives. Improve project throughput, timeline adherence, and overall delivery efficiency. Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks.
- Analytical Leadership: Leverage advanced analytics to extract crucial insights from structured and unstructured data. Guide teams on optimal modeling approaches, analytical design, and data visualization standards. Apply emerging quantitative techniques to strengthen research and business conclusions. Ensure analytical rigor and technical excellence across all initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with data scientists, engineers, product leaders, and executives. Facilitate productive planning sessions and strategic discussions. Drive alignment across diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure consistent and clear communication throughout the organization.
- Operational Excellence: Track progress diligently against KPIs and portfolio-level objectives. Support incident management and production-related escalations. Continuously improve systems, workflows, and portfolio management tools. Establish scalable program management best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience working with technical teams in data science, analytics, or program management.
- Strong background in data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent technical projects.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and organizational prioritization skills.
- Ability to thrive in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale data science or AI portfolios.
- Background in advanced analytics or quantitative research.
