This remote role is designed for professionals with a robust background in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting. You will be instrumental in high-impact strategic initiatives, financial modeling, and intricate transaction analysis, operating independently within a high-performance, remote environment.

Role Overview

As a Strategy and Development Associate, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to identify and evaluate growth opportunities, inform critical capital allocation decisions, and play a significant role in strategic planning processes. The position demands exceptional financial modeling capabilities, proven valuation expertise, and the ability to distil complex analytical findings into clear, executive-ready insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and refine detailed financial models, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models, three-statement operating models, and comprehensive scenario and sensitivity analyses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes with meticulous financial data and projections.
• Conduct thorough valuation analyses for potential investments, strategic partnerships, and M&A opportunities.
• Perform rigorous financial and operational due diligence on target companies to assess viability and risk.
• Prepare polished executive-level presentations, board materials, and detailed investment memos.
• Analyze industry trends, competitive positioning, and broader macroeconomic factors to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Strong expertise in financial modeling, specifically DCF and three-statement models.
• Demonstrated experience in valuation and transaction analysis.
• A professional background in corporate development, investment banking, consulting, or strategic finance.
• Proven experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Extensive due diligence experience in deal or investment contexts.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently and effectively in a remote, high-performance setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience gained at a Fortune 500 company or a top-tier firm.
• An MBA or an advanced degree in Finance, Business, or a closely related field.
• Prior exposure to M&A, private equity, or strategic advisory roles.
• Experience with board-level reporting and executive communications.
