Software Engineer Role Overview
North Star Staffing is seeking a skilled Software Expert for a high-priority data collection initiative. This is a remote, contract position requiring independent work and meeting deadlines. Strong familiarity with professional software tools like Blender, Godot, GIMP, R, and Wings 3D is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Record screen sessions with clear narration explaining each step.
- Annotate screenshots by drawing bounding boxes around relevant UI elements.
- Follow staging instructions to set up specific UI states before recording.
- Use a custom capture tool for accurate workflow recording.
- Adhere to task guidelines for data quality and usability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong familiarity with Blender, Godot, GIMP, R, and Wings 3D.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow precise instructions.
- Comfortable working independently and meeting tight deadlines.
- Access to a physical Mac (M1 chip or higher, macOS 15.6 or higher) and ability to create a fresh macOS user profile if needed.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
