Role Overview: Data Visualization Engineer
We are seeking a Scientific Visualization Engineer with deep expertise in ParaView to support large-scale computational research initiatives for our client. This remote role focuses on transforming complex simulation datasets into high-quality, publication-ready visualizations that support scientific analysis, interpretation, and communication.
You will design and implement advanced visualization pipelines to process and interpret large-scale simulation data (CFD, FEM, and related domains). The position requires strong experience with ParaView scripting, parallel processing, and high-performance computing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop advanced visualization workflows using ParaView.
- Process and visualize large-scale CFD and FEM datasets.
- Build custom filters and automation scripts using Python and ParaView macros.
- Apply parallel processing techniques for high-performance rendering.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate analytical requirements into visual outputs.
- Produce publication-quality scientific visualizations.
- Document workflows to ensure reproducibility and knowledge transfer.
- Stay current with developments in scientific visualization tools and techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Deep expertise in ParaView and scientific visualization pipelines.
- Strong Python scripting skills for automation and customization.
- Experience working with large-scale simulation data (CFD, FEM, multiphysics, or similar).
- Familiarity with HPC or distributed computing environments.
- Ability to generate clear, accurate, and technically rigorous visual outputs.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
