Job Description
This position is an integral part of the Content Strategy team within Norstella Content Operations. The Content Strategy Analyst, Taxonomies & Data Curation plays a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of transformational programs and projects. This involves addressing key business priorities in close collaboration with various cross-functional units, including technology, product, and services, with a strong focus on:
- Optimization: Championing operational efficiency across content processes.
- Utilization: Maximizing data utility and identifying opportunities to leverage Norstella data throughout the business to generate value.
- Thought Partnership: Leading data strategy initiatives and fostering client engagement.
To ensure our data delivers maximum value for clients, the Ontology Team, which this role supports, is deeply involved in cross-company efforts. This includes developing and applying consistent standards for our diverse datasets. In this capacity, the Analyst will work closely with other Ontology team members to support the team’s roadmap and other critical business requirements. A key aspect will be assisting with the mapping of Norstella data to external third-party standards, in adherence to best practices and established in-house protocols.
Responsibilities
- Mapping healthcare related data elements to standard terminologies.
- Organising data elements hierarchically into structured taxonomies.
- Reviewing dictionary updates and implementing appropriate revisions to mapping.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive data mapping documentation.
- Conducting data discovery in conjunction with taxonomy development.
- Explaining the context of classifications to colleagues across different teams.
- Working closely with product, content, and data engineering colleagues on query resolution and standards development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or an equivalent relevant field.
- 3+ years’ experience, ideally within biopharma intelligence, business research, or a life sciences consulting domain.
- A solid understanding of how life science data is published, captured, and processed to translate real-world events into structured content.
- A clear understanding of the drug development lifecycle and associated processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with experience using Monday.com, LucidChart, Jira, and Confluence.
