Job Description: Deep Tech Consultant
We are seeking a motivated Deep Tech Consultant to join our European Programmes Business Unit. This role requires a blend of strong digital technology expertise, excellent analytical and writing skills, and a passion for innovation, technology, and public funding. You will work with innovative companies, scale-ups, and research organizations across Europe to secure funding for ambitious R&D and innovation projects in advanced digital technologies such as Advanced Materials, Artificial Intelligence, and Quantum Computing. These technologies are critical in strategic European sectors including ICT, Defence, Security, and Space.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to the development of high-quality European R&D funding proposals, from concept to submission.
- Translate complex technological innovations into clear, structured proposals aligned with EU evaluation criteria.
- Understand client technologies and R&D ambitions, focusing on service and quality.
- Advise clients on funding strategies, program selection, and project positioning.
- Facilitate workshops to define project concepts and gather inputs.
- Coordinate proposal development with clients, consortium partners, and internal teams.
- Ensure technical alignment, timely input delivery, and overall proposal quality.
- Stay updated on innovation trends, funding opportunities, and areas of expertise.
- Contribute to improving proposal methodologies and best practices.
- Share knowledge on digital technologies and EU funding opportunities.
- Contribute to the overall success of Nordic Innovators.
Candidate Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Physics or related Deep Tech fields.
- Experience writing or contributing to European R&D funding proposals (e.g., Horizon Europe, EIC, EDF, Digital Europe, Eureka Eurostars).
- Understanding of European funding program frameworks and procedures.
- Fluency in English (C1 minimum).
- Work permit in France.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills for understanding complex technologies.
- Excellent technical writing and structuring abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines in a consulting setting.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Experience with deep-tech SMEs, scale-ups, or research organizations is a plus.
- Interest or experience in defence, security, or space technology ecosystems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and be proactive.
