Video Coding Intern at Nokia Technology Standards
The Video Coding Systems Research team at Nokia Technology Standards is seeking an Intern to contribute to the development and implementation of compression algorithms and features for international standards. You will join a skilled, multinational team of experts in video compression.
Responsibilities
- Implement new features, conduct computer simulations, and evaluate experimental results.
- Study and develop new video coding algorithms for next-generation standards.
- Analyze contributions presented at JVET standardization meetings.
- Test new video coding algorithms, system features, and software for upcoming standards.
What You Will Learn
- Hands-on experience in developing and testing video coding algorithms.
- Exposure to international standardization processes (JVET).
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python for video coding applications.
- Deeper understanding of current video coding standards like AVC, HEVC, and VVC.
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Good knowledge of basic signal, image, and video processing/compression.
- Proficiency in software development using C, C++, and Python.
- Knowledge of current video coding standards (e.g., AVC, HEVC, VVC).
