Telecom SW Quality Assurance Trainee at Nokia

The candidate will participate in the complete software development cycle within an Agile Scrum team taking full responsibility for delivering high quality software and creating value to the organization. The team is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and testing of the features that are in their scope.

The candidate will work in a multi-national/multi-cultural environment, part of a cross-functional development team that delivers software for Network Management Solutions for Nokia optical networks products.

Position: Internship

Duration: 12 months

Start date: January, 2026

Location: Hybrid in Carnaxide, Portugal

Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their BSc or MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Defining together with the team the implementation and test strategy;
• Reviewing Product Specifications and developing test plans;
• Automating and executing test cases and documenting results;
• Supporting test automation initiatives based in Java in a DevOps environment.

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

• MsC degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field;
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Knowledge of optical communications and Fiber Optical Transmission.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Good communication skills including ability to share knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
