The Strategy & Transformation Office is expanding its internal Strategy Consulting Pool to address the increasing demand for strategic work in digital, data & AI, and organizational transformation. In this role, you will tackle board-level priorities, combining structured problem-solving with hands-on execution to define strategy, drive implementation, and achieve measurable impact. Recent projects have included shaping NN Bank's strategy, defining group-wide commercial strategies, and advancing cross-group transformation initiatives at the nexus of business, technology, people, and data. You will also collaborate with external consulting firms to develop insights and translate strategy into actionable execution.

What You Will Do

As a Senior Consultant, you will lead defined workstreams within corporate strategy and transformation projects. This involves translating complex challenges into structured approaches, analyses, and actionable recommendations. Your responsibilities include ownership of the end-to-end delivery of your workstream, from problem structuring to synthesis and recommendations. You will engage with stakeholders across the organization through interviews and workshops, ensuring alignment and high-quality input. A key part of the role is translating findings into clear narratives and materials for senior stakeholders, contributing to the overall project coherence and impact. You will also mentor and coach junior consultants.

Who You Are

Approximately 5 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting or a similar internal strategy/analytical role with workstream leadership experience.
Strong problem structuring skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear analyses and recommendations.
Ability to work independently, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure timely delivery.
Comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders and communicating effectively at various organizational levels.
Interest in corporate strategy and transformation, with an understanding of digital, data, and AI as enablers.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
A positive contributor to team development.

Who You Will Work With

You will be part of the Strategy & Transformation Office, comprising two teams: Portfolio Management and the Future Ready Program, alongside the Strategy Consulting Pool. This office reports directly to the CEO of NN Group. The Strategy Consulting Pool is a high-performing team of individuals with strong consulting backgrounds, providing direct exposure to the Managing Board (MB) and MB-1 stakeholders. The team is crucial in bridging strategy, digital innovation, and execution, ensuring strategic decisions lead to tangible business outcomes.

Location and Work Arrangement

The team is based in The Hague and operates with a hybrid work model, requiring at least two days onsite per week. Meetings may also take place in Amsterdam as needed.
