Description Of Duties
The Localization Editor - Spanish reviews in-game text, voice scripts, manual text, package copy, game summaries, websites, social media posts, and other consumer-facing materials. Responsibilities include making recommendations on grammar, spelling, style, voice, content and consistency, researching franchise history for context, and helping maintain departmental style guides and editorial guidelines. This role also involves collaborating with proofreaders, copy editors, and fellow editors to ensure efficiency and consistency.
Summary Of Requirements
- One to two years of experience or professional editing certification.
- Ability to identify culturalization issues and propose solutions.
- Familiarity with localization translation tools.
- Understanding of market preferences for the target audience.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Work Arrangement & Compensation
This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA with required onsite work following division guidelines. It offers an hourly base pay of $27.31 - $38.22, a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
