Job Description

Senior Energy Marketing, Jordan North America

As Senior Energy Marketing for Jordan North America, you will play a crucial role in identifying, cultivating, and activating key relationships, insights, and moments within the dynamic energy ecosystem. You will work closely with cultural trends and communities, collaborating across various teams to ensure Jordan's presence is consistently relevant, credible, and timely, aligning with critical category, brand, and business objectives.

This position is a senior individual contributor role, emphasizing end-to-end ownership and precise execution. It is ideally suited for someone who thrives with a high degree of autonomy and accountability and can deliver impactful results within a complex, matrixed organizational structure.

The ideal candidate possesses strong cultural acumen, sound judgment, and a deep understanding of the Jordan consumer and their key influencers. You are proactive, adaptable, and capable of introducing innovative thinking while remaining grounded in practical execution. You will be instrumental in pushing the brand into new territories, yet also meticulous in handling the smallest tactical details when necessary.

What You’ll Work On

This is a hands-on, tactical role deeply embedded in culture discovery and execution.

  • You will spend significant time with city teams across North America, engaging, observing, listening, and maintaining close ties with communities, creators, and partners to grasp current trends and anticipate future developments.
  • Act as a primary cultural voice within the team, identifying areas where Jordan's presence might be lacking and contributing to strategies for future engagement.
  • Synthesize cultural, consumer, digital, and marketplace insights, translating these findings into actionable strategies.
  • Drive seeding attacks and energy tactics, ranging from rapid, small-scale initiatives to more prominent seasonal and brand-defining moments.
  • Contribute to and build energy and brand plans, ensuring they accurately reflect on-the-ground realities.
  • Work cross-functionally with brand, product, creative, digital, entertainment marketing, retail, and marketplace teams to execute energy initiatives effectively.
  • Identify and address gaps, missed opportunities, and white spaces through resourceful execution.
  • Fluidly transition between insight gathering, strategic planning, and hands-on delivery based on project requirements.
  • Operate with agility, adapt in real-time, and make sound judgments even when information is incomplete.
  • Communicate clearly and directly, prioritizing progress and tangible outcomes over elaborate presentations.

This role demands comfort in operating effectively without a perfectly defined brief, budget, or roadmap, consistently driving work forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Discover, capture, and apply cultural and consumer insights from across North America.
  • Partner cross-functionally to plan and execute seeding initiatives, activations, and energy moments.
  • Help shape and maintain energy journeys, calendars, and plans aligned to brand and business priorities.
  • Serve as a connective layer between emerging cultural spaces and established brand focus areas.
  • Support partner and community strategies across entertainment marketing and energy.
  • Own execution across a wide signal range, from small tactical drops to larger brand-defining moments.
  • Act as a senior resource to teammates, completing work independently with review at critical points.
  • Navigate a matrixed organization and influence outcomes through credibility, follow-through, and action.

Who You’ll Work With

You will report directly to the Director of Energy Marketing, Jordan North America, and collaborate closely with the Lead, Energy Marketing, Jordan North America.

You will foster partnerships across various Jordan and Nike teams, including brand, product, creative, digital, entertainment marketing, retail, data, and marketplace partners. Success in this role hinges on strong collaboration, trust, and the ability to advance projects across diverse stakeholder groups.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, brand, or culturally driven marketing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
  • Strong understanding of digital and growth marketing, including how platforms, content, and community drive reach, relevance, and momentum.
  • Deep cultural curiosity and fluency, with a habit of staying ahead of what is new and emerging.
  • Proven ability to work independently, solve ambiguous problems, and take initiative.
  • Comfort operating across strategy, planning, and hands-on execution.
  • Ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and judgment.
