About the role
Data Analyst II - Data Processing
Our Technical Survey Data Analysts are responsible for data programming survey questionnaires based on the materials provided by the Brand Impact Research Team, using specific software, such as Quantum and SPSS. This position combines survey development (from questionnaires), quality assurance, and direct communication with internal stakeholders and partners. This role will include liaising with project managers and researchers to understand their requirements, programming survey data checks according to their specifications, and resolving any issues encountered during the data processing stage.
Primary Role Responsibilities
- Converting the data spec form into tabs and performing data checks for the survey programs using Quantum, SPSS, DisplayR or other tools.
- Performing rigorous quality assurance checks on survey programs to ensure error-free results and meet client expectations.
- Working with client services and research teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
- Communicating with internal stakeholders to obtain clarifications and/or resolve data processing issues.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with programmed surveys while they are in the field.
- Reviewing collected data for outliers, skip logic issues, or inconsistencies; cleansing data, merging data, and creating cross-tabulation tables.
- The position involves night shifts and weekend work. Adapting to this schedule is a crucial aspect of the role.
- Supporting all operational tasks undertaken by the team outside of survey and data processing, ensuring seamless workflow and efficiency.

Qualifications
- 2-4+ years experience in data processing.
- Bachelor’s Degree/ B.Tech/BE in Computer Science/Engineering or any IT-related fields.
- Python 2.7 (or other languages), XML, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS “OR” have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn things quickly in a challenging environment and think outside the box.
- Ability to grasp new concepts easily.
- Stats background a plus.
- Technical proficiency in Office/Google Suite of software solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
