About Manager, Cloud Operations

Role Overview
This role requires agility, emotional intelligence, and resilience. You will manage a local team of Cloud Infrastructure Engineers, NOC Engineers, and Information Security Engineers based in the UK and EU, while collaborating with global teams on shared goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and operational leadership for cloud platforms in the UK and EU.
- Manage and develop a diverse technical team across EMEA.
- Serve as a key liaison between regional teams and global stakeholders.
- Ensure uptime, security, and performance of cloud infrastructure.
- Support operations through monitoring, alerting, and cost-optimization tools.
- Collaborate with global teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Track performance using KPIs and report to senior leaders.
- Oversee production environment changes and escalation processes.
- Participate in hiring and performance management in partnership with HR.
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of progressive experience in cloud operations or infrastructure support.
- Experience managing teams of 5–15 employees.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like AWS Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Understanding of NOC operations, DevOps practices, and ITIL processes.
- Strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving ability.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to address critical issues.
