The Role of a Facilities Supervisor
As a Facilities Supervisor, you will oversee domestic, catering, and porter/security staff, ensuring the smooth operation and high standards of all relevant departments. Your responsibilities will include the effective allocation of work, rigorous quality control checks, and the implementation of essential training programs. You will manage staff rotas, ensure compliance with HR policies, and utilize internal systems like Turas and i-Matter for personnel management and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage domestic, catering, and porter/security staff.
- Allocate daily tasks and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and deliver staff training, including using platforms like Turas.
- Oversee staff rotas and manage leave requests.
- Implement and monitor safe working practices.
- Inspect machinery and equipment, reporting any faults promptly.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, COSHH, Infection Control Policy, Fire and Security Policy, and HR Policies.
Working Hours
The role involves a varied shift pattern:
- Monday: 14:00 - 20:00
- Tuesday: 07:00 - 13:00
- Wednesday: 06:00 - 13:00
- Thursday: 06:00 - 13:00
- Saturday: 08:00 - 12:00
Important Information Regarding Sponsorship
This position does not fulfill the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Ayrshire & Arran is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for this role.
