Position Overview

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Nexus IT Inc will deliver complex technology initiatives and customer solutions. This role involves escalation support, deployments, migrations, and configuration of cloud, network, and endpoint technologies.

How You Create Value

  • Final escalation point for complex technical issues across cloud, network, and endpoints.
  • Support project initiatives including deployments, migrations, and configurations.
  • Ensure documentation and share knowledge across teams.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and clients.
  • Assist sales and technical teams in crafting scalable, secure solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advanced troubleshooting and resolution of escalated issues.
  • Assist in planning and implementing cloud migrations and projects.
  • Collaborate to improve operational workflows.
  • Participate in solution engineering with sales teams.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for escalated issues and project work.
  • Monitor service metrics and project timelines.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.
  • Utilize CRM, ticketing systems, and BI dashboards for service metrics.

Major Technical Skills

  • Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
  • Virtualization technologies like Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Advanced networking troubleshooting focusing on Layer 2 & 3.
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Firewall configurations and security protocols.
  • Cloud platforms with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 services.
  • Expertise in Microsoft cloud solutions and hybrid environments.
  • Support in Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and Azure virtual networking.
  • Experience in technical project leadership or support.

Working Conditions

This role operates in a professional office environment with required on-call rotations. It may necessitate on-site support based on client needs, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

Experience and Education: BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent certifications. Minimum 6 years in IT infrastructure and cloud support, with 3+ years of escalation support in MSP environments.

Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate, CCNA, and relevant ITIL or project management certifications.
