Vectorworks Expert (Remote)
Nexus Consulting is seeking a Vectorworks Expert for an hourly contract (independent contractor) role, supporting a client developing advanced AI-driven design systems. This position is ideal for experienced architectural and spatial design professionals who can demonstrate authentic, real-world Vectorworks workflows to help train AI systems on professional CAD and layout processes.
Job Summary
As a Vectorworks Expert, you will apply your hands-on project experience to structured AI training initiatives. Your expertise in architectural modeling, spatial planning, and BIM-integrated workflows will help AI systems better understand how professionals structure files, iterate designs, and solve complex layout challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply advanced Vectorworks workflows within real-world project scenarios to support AI training.
- Demonstrate best practices in file organization, class and layer management, and iterative design processes.
- Document and articulate how you approach architectural or spatial design challenges.
- Collaborate with AI development teams to ensure professional workflows are accurately represented.
- Communicate design rationale, technical decisions, and problem-solving logic clearly in written and verbal formats.
- Test and evaluate AI-generated CAD outputs, providing feedback aligned with industry standards.
- Maintain high standards of clarity, organization, and workflow efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience using Vectorworks in architectural, spatial, or design environments.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and BIM workflows, including cross-platform coordination.
