About the Technical Program Manager III Role at Nexus Consulting
A leading technology organization is actively seeking a Technical Program Manager III to spearhead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving planning, coordination, and execution across diverse engineering, product management, and operational teams, ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact software and platform programs.
The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who excels in fast-paced environments, capable of effectively managing multiple concurrent initiatives. You will combine strong technical fluency with exceptional stakeholder management skills to achieve strategic objectives.
This is an onsite role based in Menlo Park, California.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Execution
- Lead and govern complex technical programs spanning multiple teams and business units.
- Drive end-to-end program lifecycle management from initiation through delivery.
- Define scope, milestones, timelines, and measurable success criteria.
- Ensure programs are delivered on schedule and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Planning & Resource Management
- Develop comprehensive project plans and roadmaps.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources and dependencies.
- Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Balance competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Provide clear, structured updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Communicate program status, risks, and dependencies transparently.
- Facilitate alignment and foster collaboration across engineering, product, and operations teams.
- Support executive decision-making with data-driven insights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with engineering, product, design, and business teams to achieve common goals.
- Drive accountability and ownership across distributed stakeholders.
- Promote operational excellence and continuous process optimization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, OR equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in technical program management or project management.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and various methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and managing intricate stakeholder relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related technical or business discipline.
- Significant experience within large-scale technology environments.
- Familiarity working across diverse product portfolios.
- Experience operating successfully in high-growth or rapidly evolving organizations.
