About the STEM Professional Role at Nexus Consulting
Nexus Consulting's client is seeking highly skilled technical and analytical professionals for a series of paid research interviews. This remote, hourly contract opportunity supports advanced market and technology research, focusing on understanding how technical professionals make critical financial, career, and technology-related decisions. It's a flexible chance to contribute valuable insights through confidential, one-on-one conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in scheduled 30–60 minute research interviews.
- Share insights on professional background, decision-making processes, and technology usage.
- Discuss financial behavior, investment tools, and workflow preferences.
- Provide honest and detailed feedback to support comprehensive research and analysis.
- Adhere strictly to all confidentiality and participation guidelines.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Background in a technical or analytical field, including:
- Software engineering, data science, or product and design.
- Engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, aerospace, etc.).
- Finance or quantitative roles (investment banking, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, trading, FP&A).
- Scientific or research-based professions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or STEM-related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex professional insights clearly.
- Currently residing in one of the following U.S. metropolitan areas: Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, or Washington, DC.
- Candidates must be legally able to work as independent contractors in their jurisdiction (United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Singapore, Dubai, or Australia).
Preferred: Active investment or brokerage accounts with platforms such as Vanguard, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Robinhood, E*Trade, Interactive Brokers, SoFi, Betterment, TD Ameritrade, or Wealthfront.
Work Details
- Fully remote engagement.
- Flexible scheduling tailored to your availability.
- Opportunity for one-time or repeat sessions based on project needs.
- Each session typically lasts 30–60 minutes.
Contract & Payment Terms
- Independent contractor engagement.
- Paid weekly via Stripe or Wise.
- No sales, no marketing, and no follow-up communication required after participation.
- No access to confidential or proprietary employer data is required.
