Job Description
Research Assistant
We are seeking highly skilled Generalists (Bachelor’s degree required) to support an accelerated initiative focused on improving AI systems designed for therapeutic-style conversations.
In this role, you will evaluate, compare, and refine AI-generated responses to ensure they meet high standards for empathy, emotional insight, communication clarity, and appropriateness in supportive dialogue settings. Your contributions will directly help research teams enhance safe, supportive, and human-aligned AI behavior in mental health–oriented conversational environments.
This project requires individuals who can begin immediately following a mandatory onboarding session.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and compare pairs of AI-generated responses
- Evaluate responses against structured criteria such as empathy, tone, emotional awareness, and communication quality
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, and alignment gaps
- Produce improved rewrites when responses do not meet quality standards
- Provide structured, clear written feedback
- Follow detailed evaluation guidelines consistently and accurately
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement)
- Strong written communication and analytical skills
- Ability to assess tone, emotional nuance, and supportive communication
- High attention to detail and consistency in applying evaluation frameworks
- Ability to begin immediately after onboarding
Ideal Background
- Experience in psychology, counseling, communications, behavioral sciences, or related fields
- Prior experience evaluating AI content, writing, editing, or quality assurance
- Familiarity with mental health–adjacent communication standards
Contract & Payment Details
- Independent contractor engagement
- Fully remote; flexible schedule
- Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
- Project duration may vary based on performance and business needs
