Records Coordinator (Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Records Coordinator to contribute subject matter expertise to AI training initiatives focused on intelligent document management. In this remote role, you will apply your knowledge of filing systems, records organization, and document workflows to help train and refine AI models that categorize, process, and manage structured and unstructured records accurately.
Your expertise will support the development of AI systems capable of recognizing patterns in documentation, organizing information efficiently, and handling complex filing scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in physical and digital file management systems
- Annotate and structure datasets to train AI systems in categorizing and organizing documents
- Provide detailed feedback on AI outputs related to document classification and record organization
- Simulate real-world filing scenarios, including edge cases and exception handling
- Develop clear documentation outlining filing rules, taxonomy, and organizational standards
- Collaborate with AI engineers and data teams to refine labeling standards and workflows
- Evaluate AI performance in sorting alphabetical, numerical, chronological, and custom filing systems
- Contribute insights to improve automation accuracy and document retrieval processes
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a File Clerk, Records Clerk, Records Specialist, or similar role
- Strong understanding of alphabetical, numerical, chronological, and subject-based filing systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience managing high volumes of documents with accuracy and efficiency
- Proficiency with office software and digital document management systems
- Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital records management or electronic document management systems (EDMS)
- Background in data annotation, content tagging, or AI-related projects
- Familiarity with information governance, retention schedules, or compliance standards
- Experience training or mentoring others in records management practices
