Psychiatrist (Remote) at Nexus Consulting

One of our clients is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrists to support the development of advanced clinical decision-support systems. These systems focus on behavioral health diagnostics, psychopharmacology, and longitudinal mental health care. This pivotal remote role bridges real-world psychiatric practice with applied AI, ensuring the safe and accurate representation of clinical reasoning and risk assessment within these innovative systems.

As a Psychiatrist, you will apply your extensive psychiatric expertise to review, annotate, and validate behavioral health datasets. Your clinical insight will be instrumental in directly shaping AI systems used for diagnostic reasoning, medication management, and complex mental health evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and label psychiatric evaluations, progress notes, and case data.
  • Validate diagnoses, symptom clusters, medication regimens, and risk assessments.
  • Audit datasets for clinical accuracy and alignment with DSM-5 and APA guidelines.
  • Review AI-generated treatment summaries for safety and appropriateness.
  • Define annotation standards for various disorders: mood, psychotic, anxiety, trauma-related, and substance use.
  • Advise on complex presentations including suicidality, comorbidities, and treatment resistance.

Ideal Qualifications

  • MD or DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Active U.S. medical license.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychopharmacology and structured risk assessment.
  • Interest in medical AI, informatics, or clinical data validation is a plus.
