Private Equity Associate – AI Trainer
Nexus Consulting is seeking a Private Equity Associate – AI Trainer on behalf of one of our clients, a company building advanced AI-driven investment analysis systems. This unique contract role seamlessly integrates traditional private equity expertise with cutting-edge AI development, allowing you to leverage your hands-on transaction and portfolio experience to train and refine AI systems focused on financial modeling, due diligence, and investment decision-making.
Job Summary
As a Private Equity Associate – AI Trainer, your primary responsibility will be to convert real-world deal experience into structured tasks for AI training. Your contributions will directly enhance the performance, accuracy, and reliability of AI systems used for financial analysis, investment opportunity evaluation, and portfolio performance assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review financial models, ensuring institutional-level accuracy and rigor for AI training initiatives.
- Translate market research, due diligence findings, and investment memos into structured datasets suitable for AI training.
- Design modeling and analytical tasks that are firmly rooted in actual private equity and investment banking workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to transform complex financial concepts into actionable AI learning modules.
- Contribute innovative ideas to continuously improve the performance, accuracy, and reliability of AI-powered private equity tools.
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs meticulously for logical coherence, financial accuracy, and practical investment relevance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in private equity and/or investment banking.
- Strong financial modeling expertise, including integrated operating models and robust valuation frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in market research, due diligence, and comprehensive investment analysis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, high-performance environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with or contributing to AI/ML systems in a finance context.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and comfort building complex models from scratch.
- Exposure to AI initiatives within private equity or investment banking environments.
- Experience supporting portfolio management or post-investment monitoring initiatives.
