As a Physician - Anesthesiology, you will join Nexus Consulting's customer team as an AI Trainer. This remote, hourly contract role involves applying your deep expertise in anesthesiology, pain management, and perioperative care to train and refine cutting-edge artificial intelligence models. Your contributions will directly enhance patient safety, streamline clinical workflows, and strengthen decision-making capabilities in anesthesia delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to train AI algorithms specifically for anesthesiology and perioperative care applications.
• Review, annotate, and interpret complex clinical datasets to improve AI's understanding of anesthesia protocols and patient management strategies.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and fellow clinicians to define practical real-world use cases and continuously enhance model accuracy.
• Monitor patient case studies and simulate various scenarios to rigorously validate AI performance across anesthesia delivery, analgesia, and comprehensive perioperative management.
• Document intricate clinical decision-making processes and effectively communicate key insights, both in written and verbal forms, to diverse interdisciplinary teams.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in anesthesiology, pain management, and emerging AI-assisted medical technologies.
• Support essential quality assurance, rigorous risk assessment, and crucial compliance initiatives to guarantee AI safety and strict regulatory adherence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist (MD or DO) with active, hands-on clinical experience.
• Extensive expertise in the administration of anesthetics and analgesics for a wide range of surgical, obstetric, and pain management procedures.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex clinical concepts.
• Proven experience in vigilant patient status monitoring, effective complication management, and meticulous maintenance of accurate medical records.
• Familiarity with comprehensive diagnostic testing, advanced airway management techniques, and critical emergency anesthesia protocols.
• Comfortable and proficient in utilizing digital platforms, specialized clinical informatics tools, and efficient remote collaboration systems.
• Detail-oriented, highly self-motivated, and deeply committed to advancing groundbreaking AI applications within the healthcare sector.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience collaborating effectively with software engineers or active participation in AI, machine learning, or clinical informatics projects.
• A professional background in staff anesthesiology, specialized obstetrical anesthesia, or rigorous academic medical research.
• Previous involvement in the development of clinical training materials or essential documentation for innovative healthcare technology initiatives.
