OpenShot Expert (Remote)
Nexus Consulting is seeking an experienced OpenShot Expert to join our team. This is an hourly contract role for an independent contractor. As an OpenShot Expert, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, production-ready videos while meticulously documenting and explaining your workflow. Your structured editing process, timeline organization, and decision-making logic will directly contribute to improving our AI-powered editing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble complete video projects using OpenShot, from raw footage to final export.
- Demonstrate and articulate your real-time editing workflow for documentation and AI training purposes.
- Organize and manage video assets with structured timelines and logical project folder systems.
- Apply transitions, effects, titles, and audio enhancements to elevate production quality.
- Optimize export settings for various delivery formats and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and document best practices within OpenShot.
- Provide clear written updates and structured feedback throughout project delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven, hands-on experience using OpenShot Video Editor in professional or freelance settings.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end video editing projects.
- Proficiency in timeline management, sequencing, and asset organization within OpenShot.
- Solid understanding of post-production workflows including color correction, audio editing, and export optimization.
