About Nexus Consulting
Nexus Consulting is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute subject matter expertise to advanced AI model training initiatives. In this remote role, you will combine hands-on mechanical experience with analytical and communication skills to improve AI systems that support mechanical design, testing, manufacturing, and troubleshooting. Your real-world technical knowledge will directly enhance the accuracy and reliability of next-generation engineering tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply core mechanical engineering principles to train and evaluate AI models focused on design, manufacturing, and R&D applications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to validate and refine AI-generated outputs.
- Develop structured datasets and real-world test scenarios based on mechanical assembly, disassembly, diagnostics, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Review AI model responses for technical accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to engineering standards.
- Translate complex mechanical systems and fabrication processes into clear documentation for AI training purposes.
- Identify gaps in AI understanding and recommend targeted improvements.
- Collaborate remotely with engineers, developers, and AI specialists to continuously enhance training materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, Technician, Mechanical Designer, or similar role.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical specifications.
- Hands-on experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision in documentation.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
