Job Summary: Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist or Technician to contribute subject matter expertise to advanced AI model training initiatives. In this remote role, you will combine hands-on mechanical experience with analytical and communication skills to improve AI systems that support mechanical design, testing, manufacturing, and troubleshooting. Your real-world technical knowledge will directly enhance the accuracy and reliability of next-generation engineering tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply core mechanical engineering principles to train and evaluate AI models focused on design, manufacturing, and R&D applications
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to validate and refine AI-generated outputs
  • Develop structured datasets and real-world test scenarios based on mechanical assembly, disassembly, diagnostics, and troubleshooting workflows
  • Review AI model responses for technical accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to engineering standards
  • Translate complex mechanical systems and fabrication processes into clear documentation for AI training purposes
  • Identify gaps in AI understanding and recommend targeted improvements
  • Collaborate remotely with engineers, developers, and AI specialists to continuously enhance training materials

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related discipline
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, Technician, Mechanical Designer, or similar role
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical specifications
  • Hands-on experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision in documentation
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience contributing to AI model training, machine learning initiatives, or technical data annotation
  • Background in automotive, manufacturing, industrial systems, or R&D environments
  • Familiarity with digital collaboration tools and remote engineering workflows
