About the Role: Engineering Professionals
Nexus Consulting is seeking highly skilled Engineering Professionals for a unique, flexible opportunity. Our client is conducting a series of paid research interviews aimed at understanding how technical professionals make critical financial, career, and technology-related decisions. This is an hourly contract role designed for experienced individuals to share their expertise through confidential, one-on-one conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in scheduled 30–60 minute confidential research interviews.
- Share valuable insights on your professional background, decision-making processes, and technology usage.
- Discuss financial behavior, investment tools, and workflow preferences.
- Provide honest and detailed feedback to support advanced market and technology research.
- Adhere strictly to all confidentiality and participation guidelines.
Eligibility & Qualifications
We are looking for individuals with a strong background in a technical or analytical field, including but not limited to:
- Software engineering, data science, or product and design roles.
- Engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, chemical, aerospace, etc.).
- Finance or quantitative roles (investment banking, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, trading, FP&A).
- Scientific or research-based professions.
Further qualifications include:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or STEM-related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate professional insights.
- Currently residing in one of the following U.S. metropolitan areas for client research focus: Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, or Washington, DC.
- Candidates based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Singapore, Dubai, or Australia who are legally able to work as independent contractors in their jurisdiction are also encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active investment or brokerage accounts with platforms such as Vanguard, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Robinhood, E*Trade, Interactive Brokers, SoFi, Betterment, TD Ameritrade, or Wealthfront.
Work Details
- This is a fully remote engagement.
- Enjoy flexible scheduling for one-time or repeat sessions based on project needs.
- Each interview session typically lasts between 30–60 minutes.
Contract & Payment Terms
- Engagement is as an independent contractor.
- Payment is processed weekly via Stripe or Wise.
- This role involves no sales, no marketing, and no follow-up communication after participation.
- No access to confidential or proprietary employer data is required.
