About the Engineering Professionals Role at Nexus Consulting

Nexus Consulting is seeking highly skilled Engineering Professionals to participate in paid research interviews for one of our clients. This is a flexible, short-term independent contractor opportunity designed for experienced technical and analytical professionals to contribute valuable insights into market and technology research initiatives. Participants will discuss how technical professionals make financial, career, and technology-related decisions.

This role is fully remote and offers flexible scheduling, with sessions typically lasting 30–60 minutes. Candidates based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Singapore, Dubai, or Australia who can legally work as independent contractors in their jurisdiction are encouraged to apply, with a specific focus on US metropolitan areas for client research.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in scheduled 30–60 minute confidential, one-on-one research interviews.
• Share in-depth insights on your professional background, decision-making processes, and technology usage.
• Discuss personal financial behavior, experiences with investment tools, and workflow preferences.
• Provide honest and detailed feedback to support advanced market and technology research and analysis.
• Adhere strictly to all confidentiality and participation guidelines.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Demonstrable background in a technical or analytical field, including but not limited to:
• Software engineering, data science, or product and design.
• Various engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, chemical, aerospace, etc.).
• Finance or quantitative roles (investment banking, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, trading, FP&A).
• Scientific or research-based professions.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or STEM-related field is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex professional insights.
• Currently residing in one of the following U.S. metropolitan areas: Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, or Washington, DC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active investment or brokerage accounts with platforms such as Vanguard, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Robinhood, E*Trade, Interactive Brokers, SoFi, Betterment, TD Ameritrade, or Wealthfront.

Work Details & Contract Terms

• Fully remote engagement with flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability.
• Opportunity for one-time or repeat sessions based on project requirements.
• Each research session is approximately 30–60 minutes in duration.
• Engagement as an independent contractor with weekly payments processed via Stripe or Wise.
• This role involves no sales, no marketing, and requires no follow-up communication after participation.
• No access to confidential or proprietary employer data is required during the interviews.
