About the Role: Computer & Information Systems Manager
Nexus Consulting's client seeks an experienced Computer & Information Systems Manager to lead and oversee technology strategy, infrastructure, and systems operations in a dynamic, distributed global environment. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of IT governance, security, and system performance.
Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for aligning information systems with business objectives, strengthening cybersecurity posture, and ensuring reliable, scalable technology operations. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage IT risk, and guide teams through complex system implementations and improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee end-to-end IT infrastructure and information systems aligned with organizational goals
- Lead and mentor IT teams, promoting accountability, innovation, and operational excellence
- Establish and maintain cybersecurity best practices, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance
- Develop and enforce IT governance frameworks, policies, and risk management processes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical strategies and project plans
- Oversee software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, platforms, and vendors
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and information systems in mid-to-large-scale environments
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, governance, and compliance standards
- Demonstrated leadership experience with cross-functional or distributed teams
- Solid background in project management methodologies and strategic IT planning
- Expertise in risk management and systems security
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, ITIL, or equivalent
- Experience managing globally distributed or remote IT teams
