Role Overview: Computer & Information Systems Manager

Nexus Consulting's client is actively seeking an experienced Computer & Information Systems Manager to provide strategic leadership and hands-on oversight for technology strategy, infrastructure, and systems operations. This is a 100% remote, global opportunity in a dynamic, distributed environment. The role focuses on aligning information systems with core business objectives, strengthening the overall cybersecurity posture, and ensuring reliable, scalable technology operations. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage IT risk, and guide teams through complex system implementations and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee end-to-end IT infrastructure and information systems that align with organizational goals.
• Lead and mentor IT teams, fostering accountability, innovation, and operational excellence across the board.
• Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity best practices, ensuring paramount data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop and enforce comprehensive IT governance frameworks, policies, and proactive risk management processes.
• Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to translate diverse operational needs into clear technical strategies and actionable project plans.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, ensuring strict adherence to high-quality standards.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, platforms, and vendors to maintain a competitive edge.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and transparent, effective communication.
• Develop robust disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to safeguard operations.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and complex information systems within mid-to-large-scale environments.
• Strong knowledge of leading cybersecurity frameworks, governance principles, and compliance standards.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with cross-functional or globally distributed teams.
• Solid background in established project management methodologies and strategic IT planning.
• Expertise in IT risk management and comprehensive systems security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and advanced problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, ITIL, or an equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience managing globally distributed or remote IT teams.
