Our client, through Nexus Consulting, is actively seeking an experienced Computer & Information Systems Manager to lead and oversee technology strategy, infrastructure, and systems operations. This critical remote role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of IT governance, security, and system performance within a dynamic, distributed environment.

Role Overview

As the Computer & Information Systems Manager, you will be instrumental in aligning information systems with overarching business objectives. Your responsibilities will include strengthening the organization's cybersecurity posture and ensuring reliable, scalable technology operations across all platforms. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, proactively manage IT risks, and guide diverse teams through complex system implementations and continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee end-to-end IT infrastructure and information systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead and mentor IT teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
• Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity best practices, guaranteeing data integrity and adherence to regulatory compliance.
• Develop and enforce comprehensive IT governance frameworks, policies, and risk management processes.
• Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into actionable technical strategies and project plans.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, platforms, and vendors to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage multiple IT projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and transparent communication.
• Develop proactive disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to safeguard operations.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and information systems in mid-to-large-scale environments.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, IT governance, and compliance standards.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with cross-functional or distributed teams.
• Solid background in project management methodologies and strategic IT planning.
• Expertise in risk management and systems security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, ITIL, or equivalent.
• Experience managing globally distributed or remote IT teams.
