Job Summary: Chemical Engineer

Nexus Consulting is seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to contribute subject matter expertise to AI-driven process optimization initiatives. In this remote role, you will apply your knowledge of chemical manufacturing, safety standards, and process improvement to help develop and refine intelligent systems that support operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and data-informed decision-making across chemical operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and document comprehensive safety procedures for chemical processes and equipment operations.
  • Analyze and interpret process and experimental data to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot complex manufacturing and reaction-based systems, translating real-world scenarios into structured AI training inputs.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and process efficiency, recommending improvements aligned with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Design and review process layouts and system configurations to enhance productivity and scalability.
  • Utilize process simulation and modeling tools to assess system performance and validate improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical and AI teams to support data-driven model refinement.
  • Provide structured feedback to improve AI system accuracy in chemical engineering applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Strong expertise in chemical process optimization and safety protocol development.
  • Experience analyzing process data and applying optimization methodologies.
  • Proficiency with process simulation or modeling software.
  • Solid understanding of environmental and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in chemical manufacturing or industrial settings.
