About the Role: Australian Legal Expert

Nexus Consulting is seeking experienced legal professionals to support two new AI research dataset projects in the Australian market. This remote and asynchronous role focuses on collecting, verifying, and organizing publicly available legal and financial documents. The gathered data will be crucial for internal testing and external demonstrations of advanced AI systems. This is an hourly contract engagement for independent contractors, offering a flexible schedule and competitive compensation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and organize publicly available legal and financial documents, strictly adhering to project guidelines.
• Ensure all compiled materials are accurate, complete, and clearly presented.
• Follow structured documentation processes to consistently meet defined quality standards.
• Verify sources, ensuring all data originates from public, verifiable platforms.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project managers and consistently meet all established deadlines.
• Maintain a high standard of work quality in a remote, independent work setting.

Ideal Qualifications

• Demonstrated prior experience in litigation or corporate/transactional legal work specifically in Tasmania.
• Familiarity with various Australian legal and regulatory document sources.
• Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to follow structured documentation requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills and effective time management for meeting project deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently and efficiently in an asynchronous environment.
• Reliable access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported for this role).
