About the Role: Australian Legal Expert Tasmania
Nexus Consulting is seeking experienced legal professionals to contribute to two cutting-edge AI research dataset projects focused on the Australian market. In this fully remote and asynchronous role, you will be instrumental in collecting, verifying, and organizing publicly available legal and financial documents. Your work will directly support the internal testing and external demonstrations of advanced AI systems, leveraging your expertise in Australian legal frameworks, particularly those relevant to Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and organize publicly available legal and financial documents meticulously, adhering to specific project guidelines.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and clarity of all compiled materials to maintain high data integrity.
- Follow structured documentation processes rigorously to meet defined quality standards for AI dataset development.
- Verify sources thoroughly, ensuring all data originates from public, verifiably reliable platforms.
- Collaborate asynchronously and effectively with project managers, consistently meeting all established deadlines.
- Maintain a high standard of work quality in a remote, independent contractor setting.
Ideal Qualifications
- Proven experience in litigation or corporate/transactional legal work, specifically within Tasmania.
- Strong familiarity with key Australian legal and regulatory document sources.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to precisely follow structured documentation requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong time management capabilities to meet project deadlines.
- Comfortable and proficient working independently in an asynchronous remote environment.
- Reliable access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported for this role).
More About the Opportunity
This engagement offers a fully remote work environment with a flexible schedule, supporting short-term sprints with a high availability of work. Nexus Consulting provides competitive hourly compensation, aligned with your experience and location, with weekly payments processed via Stripe Connect or Wise. This is strictly an independent contractor role, meaning no access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution will be required. Please note, H1-B and STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported for this position.
