About the Role
Nexus Consulting is seeking experienced legal professionals for the Australian Legal Expert role to support two new AI research dataset projects in the Australian market. This fully remote, asynchronous contract role involves collecting, verifying, and organizing publicly available legal and financial documents. The objective is to support internal testing and external demonstrations of advanced AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and organize publicly available legal and financial documents according to specific project guidelines.
- Ensure all compiled materials are accurate, complete, and clear.
- Follow structured documentation processes to meet defined quality standards effectively.
- Verify sources to ensure all data originates from public, verifiable platforms.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project managers, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Maintain a high quality of work in a remote, independent work environment.
Ideal Qualifications
- Demonstrated prior experience in litigation or corporate/transactional legal work in Tasmania.
- Strong familiarity with Australian legal and regulatory document sources.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to adhere to structured documentation requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management for successfully meeting project deadlines.
- Comfortable and proficient working independently in an asynchronous environment.
- Reliable access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported for this role).
More About the Opportunity
- Fully remote position with a flexible schedule, offering high availability of work for short-term sprints.
- Competitive hourly compensation ranging from AUD 90–130, aligned with experience and location.
- Weekly payments are processed efficiently via Stripe Connect or Wise.
- Engagement is strictly classified as an independent contractor role.
- This role does not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
