About the Australian Legal Expert Role at Nexus Consulting
One of our clients is hiring experienced legal professionals to support two new AI research dataset projects in the Australian market. This remote role involves collecting, verifying, and organizing publicly available legal and financial documents to support internal testing and external demonstrations of advanced AI systems. Work is fully remote and asynchronous, offering a flexible schedule for an independent contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and organize publicly available legal and financial documents following project guidelines.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and clarity of all compiled materials.
- Follow structured documentation processes to meet defined quality standards.
- Verify sources and ensure all data comes from public, verifiable platforms.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project managers and meet all deadlines.
- Maintain high-quality work in a remote, independent setting.
Ideal Qualifications
- Prior experience in litigation or corporate/transactional legal work in Tasmania.
- Familiarity with Australian legal and regulatory document sources.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured documentation requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management for meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment.
- Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported).

This opportunity provides a fully remote role with a flexible schedule, focused on short-term sprints with high availability of work. Nexus Consulting offers competitive hourly compensation, aligned with experience and location, with weekly payments via Stripe Connect or Wise. This engagement is classified strictly as an independent contractor role, ensuring no access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution. Please note, H1-B and STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported at this time.
