The Opportunity

We are building our team of sharp, agile innovators. As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will implement new product features, onboard enterprise customers, and continuously optimize our Nexusone products across on-premises and cloud-based environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage daily operations of Nexusone products using open-source Linux-based data technologies.
  • Install, configure, and support CDP clusters in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises.
  • Lead and mentor less experienced members of the platform engineering and support teams.
  • Maintain, patch, and upgrade CDP setups following Cloudera best practices.
  • Evaluate and optimize distributed production deployments for improved performance.
  • Configure and manage security with tools like Ranger and Kerberos.
  • Develop technical documentation including runbooks and knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate in an agile team and participate in on-call rotations for critical support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable data solutions.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements - Who You Are

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • In-depth understanding of on-premises and cloud network architectures.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with Cloudera Data Platform deployments.
  • Experience with Linux-based data technologies such as Iceberg, Spark, Nifi, and more.
  • Proven experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong expertise in Spark, Airflow, and integration of directory services.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and performance optimization.
