NextSilicon is reimagining high-performance computing (HPC & AI). Our accelerated compute solutions leverage intelligent adaptive algorithms to vastly accelerate supercomputers, driving them forward into a new generation. We have developed a novel software-defined hardware architecture that is achieving significant advancements in both the HPC and AI domains.
Our Core Values
At NextSilicon, everything we do is guided by three core values:
- Professionalism: We strive for exceptional results through professionalism and unwavering dedication to quality and performance.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly experienced product manager expert to join our Product and Architecture team. The Product & Architecture team is responsible for defining, directing, and driving the product strategy for the entire software stack. If you are a strategic thinker who can translate market needs into actionable product plans while balancing technical feasibility, an excellent communicator, an influencer, and a negotiator—capable of rallying disparate teams around a common vision and resolving conflicts in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities shift rapidly, you belong with us.
In this high-visibility and influential role, you will take part in building the process of turning customer requests into shippable action items, working with customers and leaders, scientists and researchers, and of course developers and engineers in complex, highly technical domains.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years in product management, technical program management, or a senior engineering lead role within a complex technology environment (ideally in the tools and infrastructure fields).
- Hands-on experience developing or managing infrastructure (software, firmware, or hardware).
- Product lifecycle ownership - from market research & customer interviews through roadmap definition, feature prioritization, and go-to-market.
- Stakeholder & cross-functional leadership - proven track record working with production-oriented teams that include software engineers, firmware developers, hardware architects, and customer success/sales groups.
- Experience working with/serving HPC workloads, including libraries such as FFT and BLAS, etc. and frameworks such as OpenMP, MPI and Kokkos: an advantage.
- Experience working with HW accelerator software stacks - compilers, runtimes, and low-latency interconnects: an advantage.
- Experience in the AI/ML accelerator space (TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX), background in cloud or HPC infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, NERSC) or knowledge of open-source HPC ecosystems (Khronos, ROCm, OpenCL, MPI Forum): an advantage.
- Proficient in English (written & spoken). Comfortable with technical documentation tools, issue trackers, and version control.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, datasheets, and performance reports.
- Familiarity with Python or C++ is advantageous for bridging the gap between product and engineering discussions.
Responsibilities
- Strategic product ownership - research market/HPC needs, set roadmap, and define positioning for the accelerator stack.
- Feature prioritization & backlog grooming - write clear user stories, enforce acceptance criteria, and balance short-term delivery with long-term performance goals.
- Cross-functional leadership - assist managers in leading sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives; coordinate software, firmware, hardware, and customer-success teams.
- Customer advocacy & feedback loop - capture interview insights, translate pain points into technical requirements, and track feature-adoption metrics.
- Performance KPI management - assist leadership in defining throughput/latency/energy targets, oversee benchmark suites (FFT, BLAS, MPI), and report quarterly results against industry leaders.
- Continuous product quality improvement - monitor defect rates, regression test coverage and performance regressions; drive actions that reduce technical debt and increase customer confidence.
