Data Science & Machine Learning Activities

As a Data Science & Machine Learning Intern, you will engage in a variety of activities to build foundational skills and contribute to real-world projects, including:

  • Python programming for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Acquiring geospatial data and utilizing open-source software for data parsing.
  • Researching state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms.
  • Reviewing research and development (R&D) requirements and opportunities.
  • Assisting in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data sets.
  • Developing and implementing machine learning models under expert guidance.
  • Experimenting with diverse algorithms and techniques to solve specific problems.
  • Visualizing complex data and effectively presenting findings to the team.
  • Collaborating with data engineers to ensure robust and efficient data pipelines.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Currently pursuing a major in computer science, engineering, MIS, or information technology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Thorough understanding of internet research methodologies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Job Details

  • Work Arrangement: Remote work allowed.
  • Equipment: Laptop provided.
  • Expected Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week.
