Data Science & Machine Learning Activities
As a Data Science & Machine Learning Intern, you will engage in a variety of activities to build foundational skills and contribute to real-world projects, including:
- Python programming for data manipulation and analysis.
- Acquiring geospatial data and utilizing open-source software for data parsing.
- Researching state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms.
- Reviewing research and development (R&D) requirements and opportunities.
- Assisting in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data sets.
- Developing and implementing machine learning models under expert guidance.
- Experimenting with diverse algorithms and techniques to solve specific problems.
- Visualizing complex data and effectively presenting findings to the team.
- Collaborating with data engineers to ensure robust and efficient data pipelines.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- US Citizenship is required.
- Currently pursuing a major in computer science, engineering, MIS, or information technology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Thorough understanding of internet research methodologies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Job Details
- Work Arrangement: Remote work allowed.
- Equipment: Laptop provided.
- Expected Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week.
