The Software Engineer I Role

As a Software Engineer I at Nextech Systems, you will be primarily devoted to designing and developing next-generation software for the Nextech product suite. You will collaborate within a talented, motivated team passionate about creating high-quality software that engages users and enables efficient workflows. The ideal candidate is collaborative, curious, creative, versatile, organized, and intrinsically motivated to continuously improve themselves and others. Essential Functions

• Develop Full Stack Applications: Build software in a Scrum environment using C#, JavaScript, SQL, and frontend frameworks like Angular.
• Embrace Best Practices: Consistently apply best practices in software development, including Code Reviews, Unit Tests, and CI/CD processes, leveraging them every day to ensure high-quality code.
• Perform Code Reviews: Conduct mutual code reviews within your team to maintain high standards and ensure the quality and reliability of the codebase.
• Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with other engineers, QA, product managers, and designers to align development efforts with project goals and timelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience developing in JavaScript UI frameworks, preferably Angular.
• Experience developing in C# and .NET.
• Minimum of 2 years industry experience, including development of robust, scalable backends.
• Minimum of 1 year using Microsoft SQL Server and writing advanced queries.
• Experience delivering a product to market.
• Creativity, motivation, and a strong attention to detail.
• An appreciation for open and constructive dialog with your fellow team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare SaaS Software experience.
• Angular 16 or newer preferred.
• Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps experience.
• Experience with HL7- FHIR.
• Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations related to financial transactions and healthcare data (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA).
• Computer Science Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Working Environment / Physical Demands

Nextech Systems operates as a remote work organization. This role is 100% remote, with long-distance or air travel not to exceed 5%. Activities require a significant amount of work in front of a computer monitor.
