Job Summary

The Vending Operations Worker is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, replenishing, and servicing various vending machines, money changing machines, and Micro Markets equipment. The role involves operating a motor vehicle across military installations, public roads, and designated areas in accordance with established protocols and Navy Guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect and replenish vending machines with diverse merchandise such as snacks, beverages, and hot/cold foods.
  • Utilize hand operated dollies and carts to load/unload merchandise and maintain proper inventory.
  • Operate vending machine service controls including soft drink vendors and automatic dryers.
  • Communicate with supervisors on location needs, customer feedback, and inventory updates.
  • Set up, maintain pricing, conduct minor repairs and adjustments on vending equipment.
  • Collect money from machines, log servicing details via handheld devices or cash collection slips.
  • Perform vehicle maintenance checks, document repairs, and ensure safe operation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of machines and surrounding areas including stockrooms and vehicles.
  • Assist in Micro Market operations during peak business times.

Physical and Working Conditions

This role requires regularly lifting items up to 40 lbs, occasional heavy lifting with assistance, regular walking, bending, and exposure to varied weather conditions both indoors and outdoors. Safety and adherence to health codes are crucial.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a valid state driver's license or commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Demonstrate safe motor vehicle operation skills and pass background checks (Federal, DOD, etc.).
  • Pass the GSA defensive driving course.
  • Have a minimum of two years relevant experience, with substitutions available based on education.
