Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Microbiology / Generalist - Days
NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Technologist specializing in Microbiology to join our team. This role focuses on molecular, serological, and bacteriology testing, with responsibilities including inventory management and quality control. You will also assist with processing laboratory send-outs and may be cross-trained in other clinical areas for generalist coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Perform molecular, serological, and bacteriology testing in the Microbiology laboratory.
- Maintain laboratory inventory and ensure quality control compliance.
- Process send-outs associated with laboratory operations.
- Provide generalist coverage by cross-training in other clinical laboratory areas as needed.
Position Details:
- Full-time position
- Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Rotating weekend and holiday coverage
- Competitive sign-on bonus up to $10K (new graduates eligible)
- Experiential bonus commensurate with experience
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or equivalent.
- Required: New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure.
- Required: If pending license, must obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Preferred: ASCP certification.
- Preferred: Prior Microbiology lab technologist experience.
