Overview

The New York State Office of Mental Health is seeking a Registered Nurse 1 Psychiatric for the Auburn Satellite Unit at the Central New York Psychiatric Center. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team providing patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide nursing care
  • Conduct nursing assessments
  • Prepare, implement, and modify nursing care plans
  • Provide health teaching, counseling, and education
  • Implement infection control protocols
  • Observe and record patient symptoms; report medication responses and changes in health

Qualifications

Candidates must have a New York State RN license and current registration. For internal candidates, one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in an eligible title is required.

Additional Information
