Summary
The Assistant Asset Management Analyst is accountable for daily management and coordination of NYPA’s overall operations, including monitoring operational performance, preparing operating budgets, and proposing capital expenditures and investments in infrastructure, technology, and equipment. This role practices a fiscally prudent, whole-life value Asset Management approach to optimize asset performance, cost, and risk while ensuring safety, reliability, resilience, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Review invoices and track contract costs for long-term maintenance contracts.
- Prepare, track and analyze daily progress reports and project summaries.
- Develop solutions to adjust plans and timelines, communicating changes as required.
- Manage corporate Intranet web page content and formatting.
- Create spreadsheets, text documents, graphs, and templates as requested.
- Assist in updating the Asset Management manual and handle special projects.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to quickly learn new technological skills.
- Knowledge of programming, SAP, and Maximo system concepts is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, detail orientation and time-management skills.
- Capability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work safely on NYPA sites with contractors or site staff.
- Customer-service attitude, team spirit, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude to take direction from multiple sources and perform varied tasks.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in project coordination in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment is necessary; experience in a Utility with Maximo systems is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Significant travel (25% - 45%) within NY State is expected. Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel via car, company plane, or commercial transportation. Availability for meetings outside normal business hours is required.
Compensation & Inclusion
The New York Power Authority offers fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The estimated salary range is $79,110 - $118,670, determined based on candidate experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
